    Known as the Rhombic Leatherbug, Syromastus rhombeus is a bug in the family Coreidae (Order Hemiptera). The adults are 9,5-10,5 cm long and have a characteristic broad, diamond-shaped abdomen. The nymphs are also very distinctive, having very pointed abdominal tergites.

    This species is found in Europe, North Africa and western Asia.
