1. Narrow-Leaved Pitcher-Plant - Nepenthes stenophylla

Nepenthes stenophylla (Nepenthaceae) is a spectacularly colored species of pitcher plants covered in small hairs. In the wild it grows to about 3m in height with multiple branching stems. A large plant of this species is truly spectacular.

The Narrow-Leaved Pitcher-Plant is endemic to Borneo. It has a wide distribution across the mountains of northwestern Borneo. It grows in highland heath forest, and ridge top vegetation, both terrestrially and as an epiphyte. The species can be variable across its range, and some variants are more colourful than others.
